Senior Kitchen Staff

$20-21/hour + tips, discounts on wine and food

As a member of our kitchen at Rolling Grape, you will be an integral part of providing a memorable experience for guests visiting our winery and attending events.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food for events and service
Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist in food preparation, plating, and service
Adapt to different menu styles and catering to customers dietary preferences, restrictions, and allergies

 

Skills & Qualifications

Experience in events, catering, and line cooking
Ability to manage staff
Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Food safety training (up-to-date certification preferred)
Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Some knowledge of pizza-making is a plus
Must be able to stand and move for long hours
Reliable transportation to and from work

Servers

$17.50/hour + tips, discounts on wine and food

As a Server at Rolling Grape, you will be an integral part of providing a memorable experience for guests visiting our winery and attending events. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will assist with wine tastings, serve food and beverages, and ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable time during their visit or event.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival and provide them with menus, wine lists, and event information
Guide guests through the wine-tasting experience, explaining the wines, their characteristics, and the winemaking process
Respond to guest inquiries, offering recommendations for wine pairings and food options
Serve wine and beverages according to winery protocols, ensuring the correct portions and presentation
Take food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Work with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food items
Assist in setting up and breaking down for events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and event-specific décor
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bar, tables, and service areas
Help with the smooth execution of private events, corporate functions, weddings, and tastings
Assist with wine sales, promote wine club memberships, and encourage guests to purchase wine for future enjoyment
Monitor alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary to maintain guest safety and well-being
Work cohesively with other team members, including kitchen staff, event coordinators, and management, to ensure a smooth operation

Skills & Qualifications

Up-to-date Smart Serve certification is a must
At least 1-2 years of experience in a serving role, preferably in a winery, restaurant, or event setting is preferred
Basic knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and pairings is preferred
Enthusiasm for learning about wine is a must
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent service
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs)
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event seasons

Bartenders

$17.50/hour + tips, discounts on wine and food

As a Bartender at Rolling Grape Vineyard, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to guests visiting the winery and attending events. You will be responsible for crafting and serving a wide variety of beverages, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options, while creating a welcoming atmosphere. You will also contribute to the smooth execution of private events, wine tastings, and special occasions hosted at the venue.

Guide guests through the wine-tasting experience, explaining the wines, their characteristics, and the winemaking process
Respond to guest inquiries, offering recommendations for wine pairings and food options

Host/Hostesses

As a Hostess at Rolling Grape Vineyard, you will be the first point of contact for guests visiting our winery and attending events. Your role will be vital in creating a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for all visitors. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and ensure smooth transitions from arrival to seating, ensuring that guests have a pleasant and seamless experience. You will also support the event team during private functions and winery tastings.
